Amendment C151: Minister's decision

Current status of Amendment C151 (May 2014)

Amendment C51 is variation of a restrictive covenant at 4 and 6 Glencairn Avenue, Coburg.

The Minister for Planning has written to Council advising that he has decided to exercise the power under section 20(4) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 to approve Amendment C151 to the Merri-bek Planning Scheme without requiring formal notice.

The effect of the Amendment is to amend the Schedule to Clause 52.02 of the Planning Scheme to include the variation of two restrictive covenents on the titles at 4 and 6 Glencairn Avenue, Coburg to allow development for uses associated with the hospital, medical centre or residential aged care.  The amendment will come into effect when notice of its approval is published in the Victorian Government Gazette.

It is understood that the Minister will notify those residents who made a submission to the Minister about the proposal.
