Service permit

We did not enforce timed parking restrictions while covid-19 stage 4 restrictions were in place.

With restrictions easing, timed parking restrictions are now being enforced.

If you need to park for longer than allowed in a time-restricted parking space, you will need to apply for a resident parking epermit or other type of parking permit.

What is a service permit?

A service permit allows tradespeople, removalists and other service providers to park in a time-restricted area, who are servicing our residents.

How much do service permits cost?

Service permits cost $20.60 per week, for a maximum for 4 weeks

How to apply for a service permit

To apply for a service parking permit you will need 1 of the following documents as proof of residency at the property address:

  • Driver's licence (with current address)
  • Rates notice
  • Lease agreement, or
  • Utility bill.

A mobile phone bill is not accepted as proof of residency.

*Home care workers*

We are currently considering the needs of home care workers and those providing home visits that need to park for longer than 2 hours when making visits. More information about permit options for this type of worker will become available after Council considers the report at the April 2021 Council meeting.
