Moreland Libraries Advisory Committee
The Merri-bek Libraries Advisory Committee (MorLAC) advises Council on library matters and performance.
A Councillor and twelve community representatives are members of the committee.
Moreland citizens who wish to raise any issues in relation to the library service are invited to contact the Merri-bek Libraries Advisory Committee through Council.

Library policies
The resources and services of Merri-bek's library service are for the benefit and use of the whole community.
Council has a range of policies to maximise the efficient operation of services and to make sure everybody can access materials and services.
Rights and responsibilities of library members
Access to membership of the library service and the rights and obligations of members are in the Library Use Policy (DOC 66Kb).
Library loans
Policies on the loan of resources including the number of items which may be borrowed, the length of time that something can be borrowed and any charges associated with lending of items or use of facilities are outlined in the Library Loans Policy (DOC 70Kb).
Library collections and resources
The range of library collections and resources is outlined in the Library Selection and Collection Development Policy (DOC 168Kb)
Using the internet and checking email
Guidelines for public use of internet and printing facilities are in the Computer, Internet, Wireless, Printing and Photocopy Conditions for Public Use (DOC 82Kb).
Library Service Strategy
The Library Services Strategy 2019 is based on the outcomes of a strategic review of Merri-bek’s library service that was undertaken in 2018. The review included consultation with the community and with a range of stakeholders.
This strategy provides clear directions and priorities for the continuing development of our library service.

Library User Survey
Moreland libraries survey a random sample of library members every year. The results of the surveys are listed below and show the satisfaction rates of library users in percentages of 'very good' or 'good'.
