English conversation clubs
Starting Monday 17 May 2021.
Would you like to practice your English speaking skills in a relaxed environment?
English Conversation Club is a weekly group for adults who speak English as a second language and anyone interested in participating in intercultural conversation practice. Register for the Online Conversation Club through Eventbrite.
The English Conversation Club does not meet during the school holidays.

Book chat
Book chat is a monthly program for book lovers. Enjoy a relaxed chat about books with library staff and other readers. Bring your current read or an old favourite to share, or just come along to hear about what others are enjoying.
Bookings are not required.
- Book chat meets 2 pm, second Wednesday of the month at Coburg Library.
- Book chat meets 11.30 am, second Thursday of the month, after new book morning, at Fawkner Library.
Scrabble clubs
You can play the famous word game Scrabble at a Merri-bek library.
Scrabble clubs meet weekly at Fawkner Library and Glenroy Library. Scabble club is free and all levels are welcome. You can come every week or just drop in occasionally.
There is also a Scrabble set available to use at the Coburg Library.

- Glenroy Library Scrabble Club meets every Thursday at 2 pm at Glenroy Library.
Craft groups
Get crafty at Fawkner Library
Be inspired by some crafty locals demonstrating their skills in arts and crafts. Bring along a project you are working on and share your experience or get advice from others while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.

Meets on a Wednesday once a month 2 pm at Fawkner Library.
Knit 'n' natter knitting group
A daytime program for knitters. Whether you are a beginner or an old hand at knitting, all are welcome to our knitting group. Bring your knitting and share your ideas and experiences with others.
Bookings are not required.
Meets fortnightly on Thursday at 1.30 pm at Campbell Turnbull Library.
Crochet group
Bring along your WIP (Work In Progress) or show off your HOTH (Hot Off The Hook) project. Share your experience or get advice from others while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
Bookings are not required.
Meets 2 pm, first Tuesday of the month at Glenroy Library (except for 13 November).
Craft circle
Bring along your craft project or be inspired to start something new at the Libraries after Dark craft circle. Some resources will be supplied.
Bookings are not required.
7 pm - 10 pm Thursdays at Glenroy Library.
Brunswick Sewing Club at Brunswick Library MakerSpace
Brunswick Sewing Club is a social sewing group for creative community members to come together with a needle and thread. Bring along your current project.
Suitable for participants 16 years and over.
