

Park improvements
In 2016, a new nature play space was created to encourage children to interact with water and nature, featuring a hand water pump at the top of a playful mound, a bird-hide play structure, timber tee pee, and more traditional play equipment. Park features
Walking your dog
At off-leash dog parks you must still keep your dog under control. You can find out more about these rules on our Park amenities and equipment page.
In all other public places, dogs must be kept in control with a leash, cord, or chain. Dogs are prohibited from the area around playgrounds or within creeks.

A note on dogs at Kirkdale Park
Kirkdale Park is an off-leash park, however dogs are not permitted in the play space or barbecue areas at any time, and must be on leash within 2 metres of the Merri Creek Shared Trail.
