Delivered meals
Council’s delivered meal service offers tasty and nutritious three-course meals for people who are not able to shop or prepare their own meals.
To ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene, our meals are prepared fresh daily by chefs in our kitchen, chilled, and then delivered to you. You simply heat your meal at a time that’s convenient for you using the supplied heating instructions.
With help from an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, seasonal menus are developed using seasonal ingredients that are fresh and healthy. Menu options suit a range of taste, cultural and dietary requirements, with options for special diets such as diabetic, low fat and texture modified. Most dishes are either low gluten* or can be modified upon request.
What is included?
Each meal includes a soup, a main meal with sides of vegetables and a dessert, plus a fruit juice.
As part of our delivered meal service, staff will check in on the wellbeing and environment of the people receiving a meal. Any concerns will be reported to their supervisors and families/next of kin as needed.
