Youth resilience survey

Resilience and the Youth resilience survey

Resilience is the ability to draw upon the strengths within yourself and around you to flexibly respond to life while remaining true to yourself and creating positive relationships with others.

At Merri-bek Youth we are currently using Resilient Youth Australia's Youth resilience survey to track and monitor resilience outcomes in Merri-bek’s young people. This project commenced in 2018 and will continue for a 3 year period ending in 2021.

The Youth resilience survey is an online tool which places young people at the centre of their own learning and collects, collates and analyses self-reported characteristics of young people in terms of their:

  • strengths
  • hopefulness
  • incidence of anxiety and depression
  • risk and protective behaviours

You'll find more information on Resilient Youth Australia's Youth resilience survey on their website.

Who can be involved in Merri-bek's Youth resilience survey?

Moreland Youth's resilience survey project is open to all primary and secondary schools in Merri-bek, youth specific agencies and young people aged 10 to 18.
