Supporting businesses by waiving food registration renewal fees for the 2020 calendar year and providing refunds for all fees paid in advance for services that can no longer take place including street trader permits and community venue hire. Council Rates Relief

All rate payers including businesses, who are experiencing financial hardship can access options for interest free payment plans or deferral of rates without penalty up until 30 June 2021. Further information available on the Merri-bek City Council website.

COVID-19 Financial Hardship Policy

At the Special Council Meeting on 25 March, Council resolved to commit to a number of hardship and community relief measures to assist individuals, businesses and organisations suffering hardship in our community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
