Councillor attendance at meetings

Councillors, as elected representatives, contribute their vote to Council decisions at Council meetings and Planning and Related Matters meetings.

To assist in ensuring all the required information is available, in addition to meetings and correspondence Councillors have with community members, Councillor Briefings are held regularly to provide advice and information on matters to be included in Council reports or of significant community impact.

In line with good governance practice and and Merri-bek's Public Transparency Policy, Councillor attendance at these meetings is provided.
