About the Council meetings designated for Planning and Related Matters
Most planning applications are decided by Council's urban planners, however some decisions are made at Council meetings designated for Planning and Related Matters.
Council invites the applicant and any objectors to the Planning and Related Matters meeting. Members of the public are also welcome to attend.

From 1 September 2020, meetings designated for Planning and Related Matters are run in accordance with the Governance Rules (DOC 1Mb).

Council is committed to allowing access to the Council decision-making process while maintaining good practices to keep people safe, in accordance with public health requirements. The Chief Executive Officer will follow the Council Meeting Guideline for Determining when to conduct Council Meetings Online.
Upcoming Council Meetings for Planning and Related Matters
Council meetings for Planning and Related Matters are normally held in the Council Chamber, Merri-bek Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street, Coburg, 6.30 pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, meetings will be held via video conferencing.
