Balfe Park, Brunswick East - Play space upgrade
Council has upgraded Balfe Park playspace and open space areas as part of the playspace renewal under Merri-bek City Council's Moreland Play Strategy 2016-20 (PDF 2Mb).
Balfe Park is a medium-sized reserve located at 54 John Street, Brunswick East, comprising of a playspace, open space lawn with trees, public toilet and sports field/club rooms. This proposed upgrade has focused on the playspace and the parkland adjacent to John Street.
Construction
Council's Open Space Team have completed the upgrade of Balfe Park playspace, fitness equipment area, BBQ/gathering space and associated park infrastructure.
During March 2021 the Open Space Team are installing the circular path around the outside of the sports field. These works will include some interval distance markers.
