Cumming Street, Brunswick West - Road reconstruction works

Project overview

In 2019 Council reconstructed Cumming Street, Brunswick West between Melville Road and Duggan Street.

The works comprised:

• Construction of a new underground drainage system and pits.
• Reconstructing the existing bluestone kerb and channel.
• Reconstructing the existing road pavement.
• Construction of a tree lined median along the road.
• Laying of a new asphalt road surface.
• Reconstruction of vehicle crossings between the new kerb and footpath edge.
• Reinstatement of nature strips.
• Total length: 380 metres.

• Construction start date: December 2018
• Construction end date: July 2019
