Kingsford Smith Ulm Reserve, Glenroy - Shared path construction

Project overview

Kingsford Smith Ulm Reserve is located on the western boundary of Merri-bek and is bounded by Loongana Avenue, Glenroy and the Moonee Ponds Creek.

The construction of a shared path to meet DDA accessibility requirements has been completed as part of the Capital Works Program to replace the informal pedestrian path (goat track) linking Loongana Avenue down to the existing asphalt path next to the Moonee Ponds Creek. Soft landscaping works are planned for Autumn 2017.

The project comprises a 2.5 metre wide concrete shared path travelling over a distance of 790 metre and covering a drop of 30 metres from the top to the bottom of the reserve.

The project is now complete.
