Fawkner Library - Improvement project
Project overview
Fawkner Library, located at CB Smith Reserve, Fawkner, received a much-needed refurbishment.
The following building works were undertaken:
- Removal of straw ceiling and installation of a new plaster ceiling
- Removal of roof tiles and replaced with new colourbond roof sheeting
- The interior of the library received a fresh coat of paint
- Alterations to the external ramp to improve accessibility.
Budget and timelines
- Construction costs: $180,000
- Project completion date: March 2017
