Joe Laherty Reserve, Glenroy - Park upgrade

Project overview

Located on the corner of Daley and Glen Street, Glenroy, Laherty Reserve was selected for upgrade with funding allocated from Council's capital works program.

The project included new play equipment, park furniture, fencing, signage and additional tree planting for shade.

Community consultation

A Joe Lahery Reserve Concept Plan for the park upgrade was developed, and a copy of this concept sent to residents within 200 metres of the park

Council invited local residents to submit their feedback on the proposed concept. Feedback closed on Wednesday 14 September 2016.

Timeline

• September 2016 - consultation and revision of draft concept
• Late September 2016 - commence construction
• December 2016 - work complete
