Clifton Park – Sports Pavilions – Amenity Refurbishments

There are two pavilions at Clifton Park, one which services the grass soccer pitch (Clifton Park East) and the other which services the synthetic soccer pitch. The pavilion servicing the grass soccer pitch is proposed to be refurbished to improve the change rooms, referees room and amenities to make them more welcoming, female friendly and compliant. The second pavilion, servicing the synthetic pitch, is planned to have refurbished amenities, fixtures and fittings and be more welcoming. 

Why

As participation in sport has grown across the municipality, it is appropriate that facilities cater for the current and projected growth in participation, for both males and females and people of all abilities. The grass soccer pitch pavilion is in need of refurbishment to be brought up to compliance with current day standards. The refurbishment will see improved amenities and a compliant accessible toilet.

The synthetic pitch pavilion is in much better condition. The works here are considered more minor when compared with the other pavilion yet just as important. Fixtures and fittings will be refreshed throughout and made more welcoming.
