Why
As participation in sport has grown across the municipality, it is appropriate that facilities cater for the current and projected growth in participation, for both males, females and people of all abilities. The Coburg Tennis Club and West Coburg Bowls Club pavilions at Bush Reserve hosts organised tennis and bowls competitions, casual use and local schools. Both facilities also host social functions and play an important role in contributing to the vibrancy of the local community.
The existing general amenities need refurbishment and bought up to compliance to current day standards. The project will provide these new required amenities and help cater for the growth of sport within the Bush Reserve precinct and Coburg surrounds.
