ATC Cook Reserve – Sports Pavilion – Change Room Refurbishments
Location
ATC Cook Reserve, Daley Street, Glenroy
Works
The proposed works are to refurbish and improve the physical condition and accessibility of the change and amenities rooms of the ATC Cook Reserve pavilion. The proposal includes refurbishments to the change rooms and associated amenities, unisex umpires and officials change room, first aid room, storage and the construction of a DDA accessible public toilet.
Why
As female participation in sport has grown across the municipality, it is appropriate that facilities cater for the current and projected growth in participation, for both males and females. Cook Reserve is a popular sports reserve for organised cricket and football competitions as well as local schools. The existing change room facilities, umpire rooms and general amenities are not unisex, compliant to current day standards nor female friendly. The project will provide these new required amenities and help cater for the growth of sport within the Cook Reserve precinct and Glenroy surrounds.
