Plans to re-invigorate Moonee Ponds Creek (Media release)
Two of Melbourne’s biggest councils are working to further transform the Moonee Ponds Creek into a beautiful waterway and they want your input.
The proposed changes are outlined in the draft “Chain of Ponds” action plan which has been developed by Merri-bek City Council and Moonee Valley Council.
“This draft plan is all about the creek becoming an even healthier and more vibrant place for our community,” said Merri-bek Mayor Cr John Kavanagh.
“We know the creek is important to many people and is well-used by walkers, runners, cyclists and other community members. That’s why it’s vital for those with an interest to have a say on the draft plan,” said Mayor Kavanagh.
Community consultation sessions have been planned for next week and early August or feedback can be sent via an online form, email or by post.
