If you love all things trivia then this Thursday as part of the Glenroy Library After Dark program, visitors can put their minds to the test and see if they can outsmart the librarian.

The Glenroy Library is encouraging groups of 8, or individuals to book a seat and come along to a night of trivia mayhem.

Merri-bek City Council Mayor, Natalie Abboud said it's a fun filled quiz night certain to challenge the brain.

"It will be an exciting night of trivia where visitors can come with a group of friends or book a single seat and make new friends," said Cr Abboud.

"It will be a great night of fun, brain training with a healthy dose of competition."

The quiz night is one part of a suite of activities occuring every Thursday night at Glenroy Library.

Visitors can expect free entertainment, meet and connect with new people or simply spend time in a comfortable place within a relaxed atmosphere.

"If you like to get out at night, you can enjoy anything from games, music, and movie screenings to craft circles, guest speakers and more," said Cr Abboud.

"The extended hours also help us reach out to those who may feel isolated and want somewhere safe and social to go in the evening."
